Houston, Texas, March 7, 2007 – P2 Energy Solutions, a leading provider of development, exploration, management and production solutions for the global oil and gas industry, announced it is delivering its new fully-integrated Enterprise Land solution using the Microsoft .NET platform and technologies for its global energy customers. Enterprise Land is one of the first highly scalable, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) land management solutions. It is an industry standard lease, property and agreement management system with full integration into GIS, content management and accounting in the oil and gas industry.

P2 Energy Solutions has engaged with Microsoft to develop its Enterprise Land application on Microsoft technology platform, enabling mutual customers to more easily find, use and share information for making their business decisions. This development effort seeks to evolve the current application to the Microsoft .NET Framework, based on a multi-tier, fully-distributed technology architecture.

Through Enterprise Land, oil and gas customers are well positioned to integrate existing Microsoft Office desktop and Microsoft-based enterprise applications while updating technology components in a way that minimizes change. A key component of Enterprise Land is the distributed Smart Client architecture built on Microsoft .NET 2.0, Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Compact Edition and scalable stateless .NET Web services with standardized data encryption and security mechanisms.

Among the many advantages is the reduced cost of ownership because .NET enables clients to manage new releases of Enterprise Land using the Smart Client auto-deploy and auto-update features from a central information technology (IT) support infrastructure. Enterprise Land is also a highly customizable and flexible database-agnostic solution, operable on Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle. Additional services will be made available in future releases, including reporting services, publishing data to portals such as SharePoint and workflow.
