P2 Energy Solutions announces the successful implementation of their Enterprise Upstream software and Oracle’s eBusiness Suite as its integrated asset management and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform for Swift Energy Company
HOUSTON, TX (April 3rd, 2008)—P2 Energy Solutions announced today that Houston based Swift Energy Company has implemented its Enterprise Upstream software and Oracle’s eBusiness Suite as its integrated asset management and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform.
Enterprise Upstream is a Web-based business management software suite designed for independent oil and gas producers that integrates seamlessly with the Oracle eBusiness Suite. Swift Energy has installed and implemented a preconfigured software framework called the “Oil & Gas Business Footprint,” designed by P2 Energy Solutions. The footprint delivers industry best practice processes based on years of implementation experience by P2 Energy Solutions consultants. It shortens time-to-benefit and lowers upfront costs associated with typical ERP software implementations.
With plans for future growth, Swift Energy required a system designed to increase user efficiency and build a foundation for additional process improvements and further application integration.
The go-live stage, steady state was achieved in mid 2007 and the successful closing of the 2007 financial books and records occurred in early 2008. During the implementation, previously used systems requiring bridging and manual controls were integrated using Enterprise Upstream and Oracle Financials. This had a considerable impact on cross-departmental and cross-field office usage–the biggest work flow change being the accommodation of an automated purchasing application.
