Tobin provides custom mapping services (Spatial Data Creation) using the powerful functionality of Tobin GIS Studio to produce digital base mapping products on a custom or contracted basis. Tobin uses its expertise and production capabilities to create mapping products with a high level of accuracy and integration in a digital or hardcopy format where the scale and accuracy is the same as the Tobin Landgrid and Survey Data.

The Tobin custom GIS services department offers an effective way to receive tailored map and data solutions which integrate with Tobin off-the-shelf data products. We collaborate with our clients to design map and data solutions to meet customized requirements. Using our GIS expertise, we can map critical client data onto Tobin basemaps to create the map information required to meet business needs.

Services:

Utilize customer’s digital and hardcopy source documents (exports from land system databases, CAD files, GIS data, aerial photography, spreadsheets and legal documents)
Scan hard copy maps/plats and geo-reference the images into real-world coordinates
Use the auto-map functionality of TGS-SDC, or manually digitize lines, points and polygons from images, or from metes and bounds or bearing and distance descriptions
Construct custom data layers that conform to Tobin shelf map data products
Convert all map data to a uniform data format, map datum and map projection

Hard copy maps:
- Thematic overlays on top of Tobin maps
- Selected areas of Tobin maps
- Overlay Tobin maps on aerial photography
- Custom designed maps or map series
- Trade show and briefing map exhibits
- Oil and gas lease and unit outline mapping

Digital products:
- Vector data, raster images, PDF or GeoPDF document formats
- Vector data will integrate into client’s existing GIS
