P2 Energy Solutions Announces the Release of TGS – Tobin Data Tools 1.0
Houston, (Friday, August 24, 2007)—P2 Energy Solutions announces the release of the Tobin GIS Studio’s Tobin Data Tools 1.0. This new addition to P2 Energy Solutions’ suite of GIS tools is designed to aid Tobin Data customers in viewing and analyzing various Tobin data products including Digital Leases, Ownership, Well locations (national well header), Annotation and Survey. In particular this application provides simplified workflows for querying Tobin Data and creating shapefiles of query results, including complex related data. The shapefiles may then be used for further analysis, loading into third-party applications or map generation.
As Tobin Data has matured and evolved over the years from disparate “flat files” to database-managed relational data sets, customers have been challenged with determining how to receive this data, manage it, build its relationships, query it and use it in various third-party applications. This release of Tobin Data Tools is designed to simplify this effort both for the novice as well as the experienced user. It provides an intuitive user interface that provides for the rapid dissemination of Tobin Data into usable forms for the end user.
Some of the following functionality is found in this release of TGS – Tobin Data Tools 1.0, allowing users to:

Locate Tobin Data in a company’s disparate locations and add them to a map

Build all of the various data relationships (links and joins)

Create an editable alias table of lessee names

Provide the user with a defined list of 12 queries against the data

Provide the ability to store the query results as a shapefile in a separate location

Provide the user the ability to save a work project to his desktop

Tool can be used in ArcMap or as a standalone
